I remember breaking his nose by slamming the edge of the door into his face as he pressed his cheek against the outside of the glass. I remember reaching for my pistol, but I am not sure whether I actually pointed it at him." Chapters from the book were finalists in the Writer's Digest Personal Essay contest, the Lone Mountain Writer's Contest, and The Loft Literary Center's Creative Non-Fiction Contest.
