This project has started on April 2012, after a meeting of the University Committee for Environmental Management. The EEL Monitoring Station has been installed 18-m W from the building of Civil Engineering Department. It is equipped with automatic analyzers for particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NO, NO2 and NOx) and ozone (O3), as well as for necessary meteorological parameters. The air pollution measurements at UPC site for the period 2012-2013 are presented in the present book in comparison to the limit values and available corresponding data of other Hellenic and European Mediterranean sites of approximately same latitudes.
