The objectives of this study were: To study the impact of the use of spirituality used as a coping mechanism on health conditions of persons with diabetes in Eastern North Carolina; To study other explanatory variables that may potentially influence health conditions in persons with diabetes; and Disseminate beneficial knowledge of diabetes management to current and future persons with diabetes, their family members, and health care providers in an effort to provide better health outcomes for persons with diabetes.
