Thus journal literature reflects current research trends and developments in a field of study. A bibliometric study of the articles published in journals determines the status of advancement and research activities in a subject field. As economics is an important area of interest for the social scientists. Therefore the bibliometric analysis of a journal literature of economics is very helpful to determine its research patterns.
