Some of the benefits that farmer associations offer to its members among others include; training and sensitisation, provision of improved seeds and animal breeds, offering of farming tools such as hoes, shovels and wheelbarrows, provision of micro-finance for savings and credit facilities, provision of marketing information for agricultural produce, all of which boost productivity and household income. In order the Farmers Associations to attain their goal of improving household incomes well, they should offer training for skills development and continued sensitisation, lobby government and donor agencies, and at the same time strengthen their local sources of income generation for financial sustainability.
