Most disputes among holders of land are more related to the accuracy of cadastral surveying techniques. In contrast, the cost of surveying techniques is the major factor for a country with poor economy. Balancing these issues will be difficult for a country which has not yet implemented a modern cadastral system and has no standard surveying techniques. This book, therefore, provides a systematic accuracy test for two surveying techniques used for land registration. Handheld GPS receiver and high resolution satellite image are compared with real time kinematic (RTK) GPS. The comparisons are made for the area and coordinate of the parcel by calculating its relative percentage error and root mean square error respectively.
