It attempted to investigate this in one of the 10 sub cities of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The participants of the study were students, teachers and school directors. In collecting feed backs, several tools had been used. Based on the findings of the study, the prevalence rate of violence was: physical 36.1 %, discrimination 17.5%, emotional 10.4%, neglect 37.9% and sexual 8.7 %. The study has also indicated Alternative Non-Physical Approaches implemented so as to keep school discipline that is 61.2%. Based on these, several methods of lessening the problem have been enumerated by respondents.
