This assumption has been tested in this work. The present piece of work consists of the findings obtained in the study undertaken by the present researcher. Hardiness and social support may be helpful in managing the level of stress, reducing the feeling of depression and controlling the inferiority and insecurity feeling. Hardiness is said to be associated with strong resistance to mental illness. Social support also has numerous positive outcomes for psychological well-being, health and adjustment. Some of the previous studies have also yielded the similar results. Having received stimulation from the past researchers in this area, the present study tapped hardiness and social support as the causal variables and stress, depression and feeling of inferiority-insecurity as the dependent variables.
