Both the sick and their caregivers showed symptoms of inability to cope with the stresses of battling with HIV and AIDS and the consequent burden of disease. The model attracted the attention of some benefactors who are contributing towards the construction of a child care centre as a component of the TRCC. The book is a practical approach to providing assistance to both the sick and those caring for them at community level. It is a concept that has potential for replication as a response to local needs for caring and supporting HIV and AIDS infected and affected persons.
