Role of governmental and non-governmental organizations in rural development is a hot topic for debate in the changing global perspective. However, this topic has never been studied rigorously and hence there is a lack of literature. This study analyzed, in detail, the role of different organizations in the community development, by considering a case of a developing country. The example considered showed that government is loosening its relevancy in the development works and in the changing perspectives non-governmental organizations are found to have higher efficiencies with better impact on the rural community development efforts. Hence, it is recommended to encourage the non-governmental organization in the rural development whereas government organizations could play a role of a guardian.
