Northern Uganda has suffered violent conflict that has devastated the social fabric of the region. The conflict between the National Resistance Movement and the Lord''s Resistance Army has eluded numerous attempts to resolve it. The Juba peace talks that run between 2006 to 2008 presented an opportunity to end the conflict, but both parties failed to endorse the final agreement.
