Concentration of Ofloxacin and ciprofloxacin were determined by the spectofluorometric assay method. The standard curve was linear in the Ofloxacin concentration range of 0.31 to 10 mcg/ml. For ciprofloxacin standard curve was obtained in the concentration range of 0.31 to 5 mcg/ml. The lowest detection limit of the assay method for both the drugs were 0.31 mcg/ml. Based on the studies it was evident that these drugs can be given by any of the above routes. The dose rate of Ofloxacin may be 2.5 and 5 mg/kg body weight while the dose of Ciprofloxacin may be 3-5 mg/kg body weight.
