The book was written while Ethiopia is among major countries sending their children abroad through inter-country adoption. Hence the author wants to show gaps and loopholes of legislation, if any, so that if rectified best interest of the child will be protected hence, adoption will not be profit driven industry with children as the commodity in Ethiopia. The book is intended to serve law makers as source book. It also serves law school students and scholar whose area of interest is adoption, child rights and makes further researches.
