This book is an MPhil in Childhood Studies on child clubs and children's rights in Nepalese context.It describes the genesis of children's clubs and how they have grown up defending children's rights and respecting and promoting children's views in Nepalese society. Since Nepal ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on 14 Sept. 1990, child clubs emerged as the advocates of children's right to participate in the activities that matter them. There are now more than fourteen thousands child clubs working for protecting and promoting children's rights. Additionally, they have offered a better chance for children to get together, learn, share and discuss the matters that are of their direct interests. They have helped children grow academically and develop their personality as well.Because of their popularity, they have spread all over the country and made their position stronger and invincible in society.
