 Operating group work in learning reading comprehension is one of the techniques in decreasing students’ reading failures in comprehending an English text since via group work, students can work together in solving the comprehension difficulties of the text, comparing the students’ thoughts with those of their own group, finishing the tasks cooperatively, and sharing their answers with the whole group. The purpose of group work one of which is to provide chances for all students to be actively involved in the learning tasks via small groups. In other words, the objective of group work is to prepare opportunities for a small group interaction, which sponsors new and more varied friendships and promotes feelings of personal acceptance and recognition because of the closeness of working together.
