The present study provides a more comprehensive account of diversity in multicultural groups and organizations by taking into account a larger set of visible and non-visible attributes. The results of four studies conducted in Finland and Japan suggest that studies focusing only on visible forms of diversity do not provide a comprehensive account of diversity in various social entities.
