Regional policy will thus remain an important topic. This book analyzes EU regional policy and its co-ordination with other European and national public policies, namely investment grants, research and development policy and transport policy. The analysis identifies shortcomings within the EU regional policy as well as coordination problems with other public policies, and it demonstrates how cohesion problems are often dueto a lack of policy coordination at the domestic level.
