Because of numerous advantages of these antennas over the conventional microwave antennas like light weight, low cost, low volume, planar structure, conformability to any surface, and compatibility with integrated circuit and solid state devices, such antennas are of great interest for a diverse range of applications in terrestrial and satellite communications systems. One of the interesting features of microstrip antennas is that they are capable of radiating power in linear as well as circular polarization mode.
