It is the performance study of telecommunication system regarding quantization noise produced due to limited bit width in hardware. This book analyses some important aspects of quantization noise effect in LTE downlink channel estimation. An OFDM system model with LTE downlink standard is developed and analysed with respect to the performance in terms of BER with three channel estimation algorithm LS, FIR and LMMSE. First the simulation is done with floating-point arithmetic and then implemented with fixed-point arithmetic using an “in house” developed fixed-point toolbox to analyse the quantization noise effect.
