Transition metal oxides or mixed oxides are established as inexpensive alternatives to precious metal and noble metal containing catalysts. The basic idea of the book was to exploit the advantages of non-noble materials, particularly, their ability to CO and soot oxidation, while improving resistance to sintering. It contributes valuable information regarding how monometallic materials can modified as new generation materials for auto exhaust purification. This book also opens the scope of research over the bimetallics and their characterization techniques.
