Plants use their natural ability of mineral absorption to remove toxic metals from the contaminated environment. This book describes hyperaccumulation of chromium, from tannery effluent by using an aquatic macrophyte Spirodela polyrrhiza (L.) Schleid. and its effect on growth and photosynthetic pigments of the test plant.
