It also reviews the historical evolution of capitalist economy at the detriment of the indigenous knowledge system in relation to skills acquisition and utilization in meeting their daily livelihoods. However, the study revealed that although South African political settlement is highly celebrated in other quarters but the real fact of the matter is that inequality, lack of political will to bring about desired change and further undermining of indigenous knowledge systems remain prevalent as the stumbling block to change.
