Health of the infants is very important for the better future of themselves and also for the Nation. All new-born are vulnerable to disease, disability and death, but preterm babies are acutely so. This paper is trying to explain the determinants of health status of infants. Determinants of health status depend on various factors that surround the individual, family and communities. The determinants of infant’s health are many and are more complex. However, this is an attempt made to identify the factors which influences the infant health. This study was carried out using cross sectional study design which helps to understand the various determinants of health status of infants.
