Menopause is a normal part of a woman’s life cycle. When a woman passes through menopause, her monthly period ends and she no longer can get pregnant naturally. During the menopause, many changes take place, both physical and emotional. Women may suffer from loss of libido and vaginal tissues can become dry and cause pain during intercourse. A woman who suffers from faecal and urinary incontinence is embarrassed and often unable to speak to anyone about the problem. She is afraid that she smells dirty and is ashamed that she leaks, so she may avoid having intercourse or close contact with her partner.
