The health care sector in Botswana is overwhelmed by HIV/AIDS, and this takes a toll on the nurses because they are the ones at the forefront in the fight against this demanding and risky illness at the workplace. The focus in this book was on the nature of the job, workload, pay, and the physical working conditions in the advent of HIV/AIDS. The general picture that emerges is that nurses are somewhat dissatisfied with their job, with the major sources of dissatisfaction being the physical working conditions, the pay and to some extent the workload and this support some of the earlier studies which reinforce their importance in the workplace. In addition the findings demonstrate that the age of nurses and experience have a strong positive relationship with job satisfaction as opposed to occupational level and gender.It should be understood that job satisfaction of nurses in this drastic time of HIV/AIDS is very important because, if nurses are affected the whole society is affected....
