Ethiopia is among the countries with high maternal morbidity and mortality rate. Most of the causes are due to unwanted pregnancy leading to abortion. Even though Ethiopia liberalized abortion induction with requirements most of the young women populations are experiencing unsafe abortion. This study has been conducted in most susceptible population group to unsafe abortion; University and college female students. As it measures their knowledge and attitude to the law and identifies the contributing factors, we believe it will have significant role for the institutions working on it.
