One belongs to the genus Heleonomus (Amblycera: Menoponidae), from common cranes, Grus grus (Gruiformes: Gruidae) and the other new species of the genus Chelopistes (Ischnocera: Philopteridae) from common turkey, Meleagris gallopavo (Galliformes: Phasianidae) were recorded from Pakistan. These chewing lice species have been taxonomically enlightened and illustrated with respect to the chaetotaxy and male and female genitalia features. It is a new record of the genus Heleonomus in Pakistan. Both the species have also been compared with their closest allies.
