The development of microwave communication systems requires materials which can be used as dielectric resonators in filters, antennas and oscillators at microwave frequencies in radar detectors, cellular telephones and global positioning satellite devices. Dielectric Resonators are inevitable component in microwave telecommunication devices. To meet the requirements for use in such practical applications, the materials should possess stringent properties like high relative permittivity for miniaturization, high quality factor or low dielectric loss for better selectivity and nearly zero temperature coefficient of resonant frequency for thermal stability of device.
