Positional information derived from acoustic means is temporal and imprecise. Target vessel movement between detections further degrade the ability to refine position. This research developed a binary volume model for analyzing and visualizing the time dependent growth of the naval sensor information that defines a target containment region. Model development includes rapid methods for volumetric expansion and the intersection of multiple regions. The methods are intended to operate real-time in a virtual reality environment.
