It seems that the last 5 years have seen a tremendous amount of “reinventing the wheel” and little progress has been made towards wider commercial implementation of effective and economically viable biocontrol products. At present there are only two commercial products available in the market for postharvest use, each having a very small market share of the technologies used to manage postharvest diseases.
