The tree mapping will help create regression models fitting tree ground DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) on Lidar-derived height applying to two major species in redwood stands: redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) and Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). Then DBHs extracted from models are used to estimate stand biomass using Jenkins's formula approved by U.S forest service.
