A new approach (MAVN) has been proposed based on maximum number of visitors that can be allowed per year to visit an ecotourism providing forest. This approach is applicable to both production and protection forests. If adopted, the approach can play a complementary role towards sustainable forest management. The approach can also be useful to curb GHG’s emission (mitigation) and to limit visitors to a sustainable level (adaptation).
