Outstanding speed of germination results were achieved when one year old seeds of woolly pod vetch were primed in distilled water, and 0.155 or 0.310 M solutions of KNO3. Similarly, a substantial influence of priming treatments on the speed of germination of common vetch seeds was evident when seeds stored for one or two years were primed with distilled water
