The book is on community supports that enhances widows livelihood strategies with the aim of incorporating them into extension programmes for thier self help activies. Various sources of social capital with the community that can be used by widows to meet different soci economic needs that arises after the death of husband.It further explored the challenges that the communities are facing in trying to solve the challanges and ways that acn be done to solve these challenges. The research found out that there is weak social capital with the community due to a number of factors despite the fact that they have high asset base in the community. Recommendations were made to use the existing social networks and to establish neworks so as to assist the livelihood strategies of widows in the communities.
