One of the well known salt-affected soils in Egypt is El-Hosinia plain area. El-Hosinia plain is located in the northeastern part of the Nile Delta, Sharkia Governorate, Egypt, and the reuse of waste water in agriculture such as Bahr El-Baqar drain channel has been practiced. So, chemical remediation of the chemically degraded soils, i.e. saline-sodic and heavy metals polluted soils (El-Hosinia plain soils) is thought to be effective in this study.
