This often lead to a sustainable utilization of the available resources through which, appropriate high level decisions regarding food movements, pricing and imports/exports could be taken. This work therefore seeks to identify the rice growing areas and determine the productivity level for sustainable agricultural development using Geographic Information System (GIS) approach within Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria.
