The low income groups of Bangladesh are suffering from malnutrition due to deficiency of protein. Due to high price of animal protein, most of the people of our country are not able to purchase it. Pulses are the cheapest source of protein. It is easily available to meet up their protein requirements. Among pulses, chickpea is the fourth major pulse crop of Bangladesh.
