Two versions of this new configuration are also proposed. One of them is compact well-baffled aplanat. Chapter two, discusses the geometrical and optical properties of the new configuration and its two versions in detail. Two first – order differential equations describing the two aspheric of the aplanatic type are given in chapter three. Chapter four, presents ray trace calculations which show that the aplanatic type is promising. Applications of this type and proposals for future work are given in chapter five
