This work describes an antioxidant nanoreactor obtained by encapsulating a dual-enzyme mimic in polymeric nanovesicles. As the mimic detoxifies in situ both superoxide radicals and related hydrogen peroxide, the nanoreactor exhibits antioxidant activity in THP-1 cells. Development of this simple, robust antioxidant nanoreactor represents a new direction in efficiently fighting oxidative stress.
