Especially zinc and steel are the important materials that have numerous applications. While in use, they are exposed to various aggressive media and undergo corrosion.Many of the corrosion problems generated in the industries involve the surroundings associated with acids, alkalies and solvents. Due to the rapid growth in different sectors, the contamination of the environment is unavoidable. Thus corrosion process is continuous and irreversible. A number of methods are available to control corrosion of materials. The use of inhibitors is one of the simplest and practical methods generally employed to control corrosion of steel and zinc. Corrosion inhibitors are the chemicals that interact either physically or chemically with a metal surface or the environment to which the metal surface is exposed.
