A novel acyclic nucleic acid mimic based on (S)-3-Amino-1,2-propanediol was synthesized and evaluated in duplexes and quardruplexes, which showed superior biostability and would probably find its application as diagnose and therapy agents. This research would shed light on further research on artificial nucleic acids.
