The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated with the aid of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques including GC, GC-MS, EI-MS, IR, UV, 1D and 2D NMR. The extracts and the isolated compounds were tested for antibacterial activity using the micro-dilution antibacterial assay, and anti-cholinesterase activity using the microplate assay.
