The objective of this study is to analyse the feasibility of using Renewable Energy sources in Azerbaijan; to reach this objective, I will analyze the institutional framework and how overcoming existing barriers within local institutions can support rapid development of RE sector from the top-down approach. Through this thesis I plan to take my readers to a journey with long-term development process and prospects for change – [R]evolution of Renewable Energy sector in Azerbaijan, its local potential and main barriers, inhibiting the shift towards sustainable development of the country.
