In this book, next to raised bog peat, fen peat is viewed as valuable natural resource and possibilities to use it for various preparations such as drugs, food additives, sorbents, textiles etc. The authors have concluded that peat regardless of its origin is priceless natural treasure with a wide field of use and that by harvesting of fen peat we could significantly increase yield of peat without any threat to nature or natural diversity and provide a significant support for the national economy.
