This enabled to predict precisely the next irrigation time with the ARIMA model which is crucial to enhance the effectiveness of the furrow irrigation practice. Also, he predicted the soil salinity by using ARIMA model. Further on, soil moisture and temperature measurements with the ECH2O 5TE sensors at the soil surface were used in transfer function to estimate the soil salinity at greater depth. By using a time-varying Dynamic Linear Model(DLM), Kalman Filter and smoothing techniques, the author revealed in an advanced procedure to investigate the relationship between soil dielectric constant...
