Ethnobotanical study deals with the study of plants and their uses as medicine for the well being of the human body.The angiospermic plants were collected from the various villages and forest area including hills and hillocks of the Modasa taluka. A good number of trips were arranged in accordance with the different seasons throughout the whole year. The fully grown plants were collected during the monsoon and in the later part of the rainy season. The collected plants were brought to the laboratory, identified and classified to their respective species level. The plant specimens were dried up with customary method and were mounted on herbarium sheets and labeled.The ethnobotanical data were collected through the dialogue, discussion and arranged meetings with local tribals, who have sufficient knowledge of the plants. Detailed questionnaire was specially prepared for a dialogue with the tribal people. Benthem and Hooker system of classification was adopted for the present study....
