A total of sixty (60) noise sources were identified and measured. Six hundred and ten (610) data were collected and analyzed. Questionnaires were also administered to respondents to evaluate their levels of awareness to noise in the metropolis. Sound level meter, Testo 816, and Data Handy Logger, DB-525, were used for the measurement. Major noise sources identified and measured are, Vehicles, Spraying workshops, Panel beating workshops, Mechanic workshops, Military weapons, Aircraft, Grain grinding machines etc. The maximum and minimum noise levels measured are 123dB(A) and 65dB(A) respectively.
