The majority of European children and adolescents find themselves living in environments characterized by a variety of unhealthy and easily accessible temptations, largely responsible for the dramatic increasing of overweight and placing it as one of the most important health issues in the European Union. The objective of TEMPEST research project was to analyse both existing and novel incentive schemes for the prevention of overweight in children and adolescents, highlighting the role of self-regulatory competence (SRC).
