The puropose of the study was to investigate the extent to which gender determines individual differences in Ordinary Level English Language performnce. Forty pupils studying Ordinary Level English Language and six teachers from three Secondary Schools in Tafara-Mabvuku District of Harare Region were involved in this study. The researcher used the simple random sampling method. The questionnaire return rate for the pupils was 87.5% (i.e 35 pupils) and the teachers return rate was 100%. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaire interviews and documentary review. Data was analysed and interpreted using descriptive statistics. The study reviewed that girls performed better than boys .
