During the last few decades, eating disorders have been rising in prevalence mainly due to environmental and cultural factors. This rise, which reaches public health significance, calls for literature to inform and educate people about risk factors, clinical picture and treatment options of these disorders. In the first section of this book, we present important facts related to Bulimia Nervosa, such as prevalence of the disorder, comorbitity, theoretical frameworks for understanding the development of the disorder as well as treatment options.
